Do enjoy original artwork that reflects the beauty of Lewes, the Cape Henlopen region, and the lives of its people? You can also support the Foundation year-round by purchasing one of 20 paintings that have been donated by local artist Barbara Petterson. These paintings are displayed at the Lewes Yacht Club and on this site. Click on any painting in the gallery to see its title, size, and price. Monetary Donations

Monetary donations are tax deductible and will acknowledged by receipt.

Gifts in kind

In-kind gifts such of nautical items that support our mission are also welcome upon approval by the Foundation.  Gifts of this type are tax deductible at their appraised value.  If you would like to make a donation of this type, contact our Treasurer at treasurer@lycfoundation.com.

Legacy Gifts

Legacy gifts through estate planning can be made through wills and simple probate-avoidance devices such as living trusts and beneficiary designations on IRAs, 401(k)s, and other financial and investment instruments.  Planning a gift of this type is simple, straightforward, and a special way to ensure your remembrance and legacy.  Legacy gifts can reduce your estate taxes too.

As a donor, you can simply state the Foundation as a beneficiary, the nature of the gift (for example cash or property), and any restrictions on what the Foundation can do with the gift (for example dedicated to the endowment fund or an annual scholarship in your name).  Most banks an other companies usually provide a form for your use.  Information you will need to plan for a legacy gift include:
